Miles Frieden has been providing affordable legal services to the Waldo County community since he opened his Searsport office in 1986. His practice now focuses primarily on real estate, probate (including wills, estate planning, and same sex partnering), and conflict resolution. As an attorney and mediator, Miles is a problem solver who works with individuals and families to find creative solutions to the most intractable entanglements. Miles brings to his clients a wealth of knowledge and experience, coupled with sensitivity and compassion. His goal is to treat everyone with respect and dignity. A tireless and determined advocate, Miles balances force with persuasion. Miles has trained to be a Guardain Ad Litem and is available to provide such assistance in contested family matters and child protective proceedings. He is rostered by the Maine Judicial Branch to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem and will zealously work to put forward the best interests of the child. Miles has a wealth of experience in this area and is sensitive to the needs of parents and children. Flat fee options are available. Clients are seen by appointment only at the newly refurbished Belfast office, about a mile out of town.
